Utelle

Utelle, mainly know for the Madonna of Utelle, also called the shrine or Our Lady of Miracles, is a village situated on the ancient Salt Road towards the Savoy and Piedmont regions. The rich medieval past, the trompe l'oeil facades and chapels await you for a walk along the tiny and sunny streets of the village. Today, thousands of visitors and pilgrims are attracted by the village and the Sanctuary of the Madonna. It is also said that lost sailors were saved thanks to a miraculous star that moved to the horizon at the site of the Madonna.
